WC Kranj

The final round of WC 2007 series took place in slovenian city Kranj during last weekend. There were a few climbers with serious titel chances before this round.
Big surprise for all was definitely when both of main favourites, Patxi Usobiaga Lakunza and Ramon Julian Puigblanque did not make the final. Thus there came big chance for dutch Jorg Verhoeven and czech Tomáš Mrázek. Nevertheless Jorg missed the chance and finished 6th, 4th overall. Although Tomáš just treated his bad knee injury, he showed precise climbing and reached 3rd place in Kranj. Same standing he took in WC 2007 overall. Congratulation! Overall winner became spanian Patxi Usobiaga.

Among women there were two title favourities as well. Austrian Angela Eiter and slovenian Maja Vidmar. And Kranj showed it´s cruel face again, when Angela finished the battle in semi-final. Thus Maja became winner in Kranj as well as in WC 2007 overall.
