Polish Magazyn Górski testing Rock Pillars shoes

Polish Magazyn Górski (No. 67) published test results of climbing shoes, where brands like La Sportiva, Boreal, Saltic, Rock Pillars represented. You can find more details in the attached pages from the magazine.

Diamond  a Ozone QC from Rock Pillars came out well from the test. Extremely asymmetric climbing shoes Diamond confirm their qualities on small steps, tiny edges and holes. The evaluators advert to very sensible heel for heel hooking, which starts to be painful after a while. Ozone QC are described as very good shoes for difficult routes, recommended especially for tiny steps and edges. Compared to Diamonds, they gain a bit higher mark regarding comfort.

The other models of Rock Pillars climbing shoes, examined by this test, also got very good review. Pearl with soft and sensible tip works excellently on limestone microstructure. The qualities recently examined Lukasz Dudek, climber from Poland, who made the first Polish 9a route Made in Poland in  Wielka Cima area. Just one slightly negative comment for Pearl: the front part of the shoe changes its form earlier.

Both models of Strike (lace up and quick closure), intended primarily for beginners, earned just praise. This is how the first contact with a rock should be. No torture. The climber does not recognize after a while that he is wearing climbing shoes on his feet.

Stream is slightly softer shoe for difficult jurassic climbing, but makes good in intermediate category.

Top Gun QC has been evaluated as quality and comfortable shoe, which can compete in difficult routes very well. Their only minus is staying in holes.
